Science is a vast stream that includes subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Other subjects like Computer Science and IT are also offered under this stream. The medical group of Science usually includes Biology, while the non-medical group includes Math. This makes many job opportunities available to those taking Science. The vast availability of jobs in science are one of the many reasons to study science. Some of the job opportunities available by taking Science include:

Doctor

This is one of the most important professions that is made available to students of Science. Doctors are always required in every corner of the world. The value and importance of doctors was highlighted greatly during the corona virus pandemic. There are many different areas that doctors specialize in as well. Thus, this is one widely available job opportunity.

Engineer

Students of Science also have the option of choosing a career in engineering. Today, many students have taken up this path. Thus, many institutes offer courses in engineering.

Software Developer/Coder

Students of Science, especially those who take up Computer Science or IT, learn various specialized skills that help them become software developers and coders. These jobs are widely available today because everything is now on the internet, and all companies require good software developers and coders so that they can have an online identity.

Jobs in Biotechnology/Forensic Science/Scientist/Microbiology/ Pathology

Today with the rapid development in Science and Technology, we have found a way to use Science to our benefit in almost place we can. Scientist today have started researching various things in the field of Microbiology, Biotechnology, Forensic Science and Pathology. In addition to this, forensic science also aids police investigations. Thus, jobs in these fields are some of the job opportunities available to students taking Science.

Zoologist/Botanist

Textile technology is one more field that has made job opportunities available to those taking Science. The field has not advanced much and although there is a demand for this, very few institutes offer a course in textile technology.

Today, other than mainstream doctors, we also have Dieticians, Nurses, Homeopathic Doctors and Unani Doctors that work in the field of medicine.  They are of equal importance as they help take away some of the constant pressures that the other doctors are facing.

Art and architecture are extremely important today. Architects are in charge of designing various buildings and require a lot of knowledge of Science for this task. This job is extremely high paying and rewarding as well.

Jobs from other streams

Students of Science can switch to the other fields. However, students of arts and commerce cannot switch to Science as easily. Thus, students of Science also have jobs available from other streams.
