Humanities or Arts is the study of human society and the world around us. Though it has the unfortunate stigma of not being the first choice of meritorious students, people who study arts learn a wide variety of subjects ranging from History & Civics to Sociology and from Economics to Language & Literature. There are many reasons for one to choose the field of Arts. One of them is that it opens a wide range of job opportunities. Here are some of the job opportunities available by taking arts.

Painter

Students who take Arts have the chance to become a painter. Students, especially those who take BFA (Bachelor of Fine arts) learn painting as one of their subjects. Painters, today with the correct nurturing can earn a lot of money by selling their paintings or getting private/government contracts to paint murals.

Designer

Students of Arts also have a career opportunity as designers. There are various types of designers like:

Fashion designers

They design fashion wear for models and actors. With their knowledge of fashion, they can also become fashion bloggers and earn money from various online promotions and advertisements.

Interior designer

They design the interiors of the house and decide things such as the efficient location of different rooms and placement of things inside them.

City planners

They are “exterior designers.” They plan the location of various buildings, malls, etc. in the city and design their exterior to make them look beautiful.

Psychology is one subject that is taught to students of Arts. Students can do their bachelors or masters and then get a job in this field. Media – Mass Communication and Journalism

Students who take Arts can become an actor. Students of BFA (Bachelor of Fine arts) learn skills like acting. Many students who take arts choose the path of law. After taking Arts, students give the CLAT exams and then hopefully get into law colleges. Lawyers earn a high sum of money for every case they fight or court appearance they make. Good lawyers can later get promoted and become judges.

Students of Arts can learn languages.
