Vidyodaya School, Ernakulam

The Vidyodaya School is situated in Ernakulam, Kochi, Kerela. It is a Senior-Secondary, Co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Established in the year 1992, the school currently houses a strength of 2057 students and 118 faculty members who are assisted by 65 non-teaching staff. The school campus is located on the picturesque hill, spread around an area of approximately 12 acres. The school motto is- 'Service and Commitment'.

English is the first and compulsory language in the school. From class 1st a second language, either Hindi or Malayalam, can be chosen & from Class 3rd a third language, i.e. Malayalam/Sanskrit can be opted by the students. The school follows the continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) and nurtures its students for AISSE in Class 10th and AISSCE in Class 12th. In Class 12th, the students can go for either PCB, PCM, PCMB or Commerce. The school aims to produce academically-brilliant students who have been zealous, strongwilled and ultimately grow up to become global citizens. The school has smart classes, Atal Tinkering Lab to ensure that they can keep up with the current techno-savvy generation. There are subject laboratories with dedicated Lab assistants. The school has a spacious and well-stocked library with a with more than 10,000 books on a wide array of topics and subjects.

The school actively encourages its students to participate in extracurricular, sports and social activities.  Martial arts like Kalarippayattu, Judo, Karate, Taekwondo etc. are taught for self-defence. Specialized coaches are hired for various sports. The school has hired competent and well-experienced coaches for these sports activities. The school has multiple hobby clubs like- literary club, Science club, dramatics club, quiz club, agricultural club etc. The school tries to teach gender equality in its students by organizing events like HE/SHE (Self Help Empowerment).

A medical facility is present in the administrative block, which has four beds. A hygienic canteen which sells food at very pocket-friendly prices is also present on the school premises. The canteen can accommodate around 200 students at a time. The school has an excellent transport system, which comprises of 15 buses. A bus in charge is allotted for each school bus to ensure that the students' commute is hassle-free.

The admission process starts every year in May, and the school begins in July.

Eligibility:

• For Nursery admissions, the age should be at least two years and six months as on May 31st.
• For class I, the age limit is five years and six months as on May 31st.
