Description

The Pawar Public School, Chandiwali branch is a school situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was founded in 2009 under the aegis of the Pawar Public Charitable Trust, under the supervision of Mrs Supriya Sule, its Managing Trustee. The school is a co-educational English medium senior school affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). It follows the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) board.

The academic curriculum is very dynamic, and the teaching faculty is competent and well-experienced. Many classrooms have been converted into smart classes/digital classrooms. There are subject laboratories for physics, computers (called as cyber zones), chemistry, biology etc. The school also has a well-stocked library and has four sections: a reference section, a borrowing section, a Teacher's and Parent's resource centre and a reading hall. In collaboration with many European schools, the school started the EUMIND (Europe meets India) is a programme for the students to undergo a student exchange program. For example, in the academic year 2018-19, the school partnered with Vechtdal college in the Netherlands. 

The school follows a house system- Prithvi, Agni, Dharti, Vayu & Jal. Several inter-house competitions are held throughout the year to inculcate a sense of teamwork in the minds of the pupils. Competitions are held for singing, dancing, elocution, creative writing, extempore, symposiums etc. 

All these activities are held in the school auditorium, having a capacity of over 500 people. The hall houses state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to give the students and parents a fantastic experience. 

The school building houses separate rooms for music, Indian music (Bharatnatyam), art and crafts etc.

Sports and Physical activity are an integral part of the curriculum. There are facilities for cricket, hockey, basketball, hockey, skating, chess, carrom etc. The school management has also hired specialized coaches for these sports to ensure that the students can play with the correct technique.

Other essential facilities provided by the school include- a medical facility, a cafeteria and world-class transportation facilities.

Admission Criteria

  • For Nursery, the total number of seats are 160 (out of which 40 are reserved under the Right to Education Act.)
  • All the candidates must be born in between 1st October 2016 and 30th September 2017.
  • The registration form can be filled online, along with a registration fee of Rs. 500 (Non-refundable)
  • All the documents mentioned on the school website have to be submitted.
  • The candidates are selected through a lottery-based system, and the parents of the selected candidates would be verified via e-mail.
