Overview

Mahindra International School formerly known as Mercedes-Benz International School (MBIS) is located in Pune and is affiliated to the International Baccalaureate program, Geneva. The college is a 3-hour journey by road, from Mumbai. The school offers day boarding-cum-residential facilities to around 230 students. Mr Archangel Thompson is the director of the college.

Its IB program has 3 parts: the first part is from preschool to the fifth standard comes in the primary year program section. The second part, from class six to ten comes under the middle year program section and, the students in standard XI and XII make the third part.

MBIS provides an atmosphere that challenges students to stand out. It offers a comprehensive program that instils students with necessary and permanently skills that develop into life-long work habits. 

Campus

Mahindra International School has fourteen lecture rooms, laboratories, a library and media centre, music rooms, a cafeteria, sports grounds, and a pool. The school also has a well equipped medical area in the boarding house that is managed by the nurse. A registered medic visits the premises twice per week. In cases of emergencies, the college is connected to The Aditya Birla Multi-Specialty Hospital, that is twenty minutes away.

The school offers equal importance to the sports and cultural activities of the scholars. An annual sports day is organized for students to showcase their skills. Additionally, the boarding students partake daily in outdoor games like soccer, cricket, 'court games', and swimming. The school organizes purposeful and object-oriented weekend outings and activities. The school also has a computer, science, and audio-visual labs.

The school provides for male and female students. The boarding facility offers a home-like atmosphere. It has spacious, well-equipped rooms with beds and washrooms, indoor games, computers with Wi-Fi access and secure internet connection. The boarding house can accommodate forty boarders.
