Johnson Grammer School Habsiguda Campus, Hyderabad

The Johnson Grammar School (JGS), Hyderabad was established by Shri SRN Mudiraj in 1979. The school is a co-educational English medium and has an affiliation to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The school nurtures and prepares its students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) board till Class 10th. For students of Class 11th and 12th, it offers them a chance to opt for either the Indian School Certificate (ISC) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP, school accreditation code- 003528).

The school follows a multi-faceted curriculum and lays a particular emphasis on the academic section. The faculty is competent and well-experienced. The teachers have to participate in various workshops organized by the school management to ensure that they are in touch with modern teaching methods. The classrooms have been transformed into digital classrooms, also known as smart classes. For imparting practical knowledge to the students, the school management has developed state-of-the-art subject laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computers etc. The school has a spacious and well-stocked library with a wide array of books.

Students at JGS are actively encouraged to take part in Extra-curricular activities. The school follows a house system as the management feels that it helps in developing teamwork and leadership qualities in a child. There are four houses (all are named after satellites)- Aryabhatta, Bhaskara, Insat and Rohini. Students compete in various activities throughout the year in inter-house competitions, where they get a chance to showcase their aptitude and expertise in the field of singing, dancing, elocution, debates, symposiums, declamation etc.

Physical activity and sports are essential in boosting a child's confidence. The school has specialized facilities for cricket, badminton, volleyball, basketball etc. The management has hired specialized coaches to ensure that the students can learn about the correct form and techniques. The school has also collaborated with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG).

• For admissions, the first step is registration (can be done via online, i.e. through the school's website/offline mode, i.e. the form can be collected from the reception). This step is followed by verification of documents and payment of fees.
• Admissions to Class 9th, 10th and 12th require the Council's approval.
