Description

Bombay Scottish School (BSS) is a Christian School established in 1997. It is affiliated with ICSE and attempts to impart Christian values to its students. Situated in Powai at Mumbai, BSS is a co-ed day school with English as its medium of instruction. The academic year at Bombay Scottish School comprises of two terms: one, from June to October, and second, from November to April. The educational provisions are offered from Pre-School (KG) to Class 10. 

By the recommendations of the Kothari Commission, students appearing for the ICSE examination in class 10 are expected to have satisfactorily scored in a third language (generally, Marathi), Art and Crafts, Physical Education (P.E.), Moral and Spiritual Values, and Community Service. The school itself assesses these subjects, and the results will contribute towards the award of ICSE pass certificate. Hence, internal assessment is an integral part of the ICSE curriculum. Language such as Hindi is introduced in UKG and Marathi, being the regional language is offered to students studying in classes from 1-8. Field trips, social service visits, picnics and camps are an essential part of the academic calendar.

In means of infrastructure, the school has state-of-art facilities. The school aims at providing the highest quality of education to its students; hence it comprises of the following facilities:

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Print the Admission Form and the Feedback Form on white and legal-size paper only.
  • Print the forms on separate sheets of paper. 
  • Please note that the photograph of the applicant should be attached in the prescribed space provided in the Admission Form.
  • Please complete and verify the forms before submitting them. 
  • The completed admission form and the feedback form, along with the relevant documents, should be deposited in the DropBox kept at the School or couriered to reach the School Office before the deadline. 
  • However, the DropBox will not be available on Saturdays, Sundays as well as on Public Holidays. 

Documents to be submitted along with the Admission and Feedback  forms:

  • Photocopy of the Birth Certificate issued by Municipality.
  • Photocopy of the applicant’s Baptism Certificate, if Christian.
  • Photocopy of the recently issued School ID Card of sibling/s (not cousin) studying at Bombay Scottish School.
  • Photocopy of the School Leaving Certificate if the parent/s or brother/s or sister/s is an alumnus of Bombay Scottish School.
  • Photocopy of the Aadhaar Cards of the applicant and both the parents.
