Sunbeam was founded in the year 1972 by Dr Amrit lal Ishrat Madhok and Mrs Deesh Ishrat Madhok. They have founded the school to provide the student's fraternity of Varanasi with the holistic needs of education. With the quality of education Sunbeam has been providing, the school grew in a short period of time and gained recognition outgoing its birthplace. Over the years, Sunbeam has added several branches under its names at various places of Uttar Pradesh. 

Sunbeam School Indranagar is one of the branches under Sunbeam Group of Institutions, founded in the year 2005. It is a co-educational and day school, affiliated to the CBSE Board.
