Description

Study Hall, is an English medium co-educational secondary school, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The campus is located in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Established in 1986, the school has over 1500 students in various streams.

Study Hall works with the three interlinked goals of access, quality and equity and believes in inclusive education. They also impart education to children with special needs, children born with physical and psychological challenges. Since 2003 Study Hall Educational Foundation has been supporting the education of over 800 girls from disadvantaged sections of society. These girls have access to the same infrastructure and facilities as the Study Hall children. The management believes that a university could also be a vital site for change and social transformation.

Mission

They also believe that the goal of education is to answer the fundamental question "Who am I and what's my relationship with the universe? We aim to impart education during a very manner which creates - creative and innovative thinkers and lifelong learners who are tuned in to their social responsibilities."

At Study Hall, they believe that 'Children are unique, powerful, important persons, merit our respect and special attention and care. Our pedagogy is meant to actualize our vision of schooling and education."

Vision

These girls have access to identical infrastructure and facilities because of the Study Hall children. The Study Hall school infrastructure is exclusive with its playgrounds, science labs, art rooms (3 in number), libraries - separate for junior and senior school along with a category library in each grade from 1 to 5. Western and Indian music rooms and a pair of dance rooms provide enough dedicated space for faculty students to follow their interest. The area in and around the school is supposed creatively to foster learning not only through academics but through a variety of activities still.

Admission Criteria

Admission to the school is based depending on the number of vacancies existing each year. Information for the admission is placed on the notice board of the school much in advance. For the introductory section the notice is given in February, for Junior and Middle school it is out by March-end, and for class XI after the CBSE results of class X are out, by May end. 

Admission forms are available from the school office. Duly filled forms with the photocopy of the birth certificate, photograph and attested copy of the annual exam mark sheet of the previous year, is to be submitted. In the case of class XI, the photocopy of the class X result is to be attached. 

The candidate and the parents, report to the school on a mentioned date for the evaluation. In case of a written test, the candidate has to appear for an English, Mathematics and Hindi test. The syllabus is based on the previous year’s learning. 

Admission results of the successful candidates are declared on the notice board of the school.
