St Joseph High School Bhubaneshwar is a very renowned name in the city. The school is the first convent English medium in the town which makes it the oldest and the finest school. The school is a Christian minority which was founded by sisters of St joseph Annecy. It is under the religious jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic archdiocese of Bhubaneshwar. The school began its journey in 1951 with a prevalent request, when Bhubaneshwar was made to replace Cuttack as the administrative place.

The school offers schooling from nursery (pre-primary level) to Class 12(senior secondary level). The institution has an affiliated to ICSE till class 10th and ISC to class 12th.

The school manages to come under top 10 schools of the state, and it now became a legacy. The medium of instruction is English, but Hindi and Odia are given equal relevance and are made as to the third language. Hindi is compulsory till class 10 and then becomes an optional subject, and Sanskrit is compulsory till grade 8. The students are prepared for the class 10 ICSE and class 12 ISC exams from the very beginning.
