Sanskriti School is a recognised multicultural co-educational school in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. It was initially founded in 1998 to provide education to All India Services, Defence Services Personnel on transfer and Allied services officers. It has an affiliation to CBSE and offers schooling from Nursery to 12th. Civil Services Society runs the school, and the serving Cabinet Secretary of India serves as the chairperson. It is an NGO formed by senior civil servants and their wives.
The school's mission is to provide the right inputs to help the children grow up into caring individuals. They want their children to make the right choices in life and be responsible citizens of the country and the world.
Amphitheatre
The Amphitheater is the nerve centre of the school. Built-in the school's very centre, all assemblies, special ceremonies, such as prize distributions, citation, investiture ceremony for the graduating batch, and other such events are held here. It can seat around 500-600 people, and its circular stage can easily adjust 60 children during a performance.
Library
A central air-conditioned circular building over three floors houses the junior, middle and senior school libraries. It has a collection of fiction, non – fiction and reference books.
Sports
Aquatic events like swimming competitions are held in the pool, built to international standards. The pool is open to the students, staff and the parents of the Sanskriti school.
The paddling pool in the school's junior wing is for the kids during the hot summer months.
The school follows the curriculum as prescribed by the CBSE and uses textbooks published by the NCERT.
Sanskriti School also runs a parallel school known as Umang, where underprivileged children are provided free education. These students are also provided with free food and water.
Sanskriti School annuals host the Sanskriti Model United Nations conference witnessing a tread of 100-500 delegates from across India and bordering countries like Nepal and Sri Lanka. First organised in 2012 the school has eight editions of the conference have taken place.
The event is lead by a student body - The Secretariat along with the teachers.
