Description

Salwan Public School, sited at Rajinder Nagar in New Delhi is a co-educational day school founded in 1953 by the Salwan Educational Trust. The founder of the trust is Late Pandit Girdhari Lal Salwan.

The school has an affiliation with CBSE, New Delhi and boasts excellence in academics and extracurricular pursuits of its students. The school maintains a teacher-student ratio of 1:20. The school offers a unique education program for visually impaired students.

Campus

The school campus hosts a well-stocked library featuring a collection of nearly 25,000 books. 

The school also offers a theatre, a fully air-conditioned multipurpose hall with a seating capacity of nearly 250 members, a dispensary with four beds managed by a full time qualified nurse and attendant, an in-house book shop and a cafeteria.

  • One for training athletes in field events 
  • The second is a cricket pitch, two practice pitches, a football ground, two basketball courts and two volleyball courts. 
  • There is also a particular play area for the tiny tots equipped with a skating rink and swings.

Academics

The school is affiliated with CBSE and offers classes from pre-primary to senior secondary. Students can opt between commerce, science and humanities streams in class 11th.

The school also provides an extended day program to cater to their unique needs.

Extracurricular: The school promotes a host of co-curricular activities including yoga, skating, art, craft, dance and music, drawing, painting, physical education, clay modelling, paper machine, creative drawing and art education.
