Padma Seshdhari Bala Bhavan School popularly known as PSBB was flagged off in 1958 by a group of homemakers known as Ladies recreation club. The school has a very commendable journey as it started with a few people and now has over 6 branches, an enrollment of 8000 students and teacher count of 500. It strives to provide a healthy environment to the students so that they can “think good and act good”. The school has well-educated teachers who always counsel and help their students. PSBB believes in appreciation of an individual so that they can be motivated, it gives students appreciation rewards them for achievements. Students can also get professional help to cope up with modern day anxiety. The aim of the school is to provide holistic and over all development for its students and also ensure that the students know the rich heritage and culture of our country. The dean of the school was awarded the Padma Shri from govt of india in 2010. The school has been ranked first In south zone for day school category and third in all-over India according to c fore survey conducted by anm esteemed web platform education world.

In 1959, one year after the school was established it shifted to its present campus in Nungambakkam. The school grew prosperously and its student count increased each year, so the second premises was started in 1971 on TP road as a branch of the Nungambakkam.

It has amazing sports infrastructure which includes tennis, swimming, basketball courts, volleyball courts and soccer fields. The junior classes are coached by Edu sport, it is an initiative by IIT and IIM aluminis, the edusport aim to teach with sports. The school thinks that it is an innovative way because it involves using the brain as well as ensures that students remain fit. This makes it a great experience for them and make learning a joyous experience.

PSBB is affiliated to CBSE board and hence follows its curriculum; the extracurricular activities are also laid equal relevance and emphasis. Yoga and swimming are an important part of curriculum.
