Manav Rachna International School, Mohali

Manav Rachna International School is the first school promoted by Manav Rachna Educational Institutions. The school is affiliated with the CBSE and offers education from nursery to class 12th.

The school conducts regular training workshops for teachers in stress-management and contemporary pedagogies. A variety of teaching methodologies such as co-operative learning, learning through role-play, projects, Socratic questioning and models are used in addition to Smart Class technology.

The school has also adopted the iCarnegie Robotics programme.

Campus

All classrooms are equipped with interactive boards. The institute has a well-stocked, computerized library with a vast stock of books, DVDs, CDs, periodicals, encyclopedia and magazines. Academics

In the primary section, there is no formal examination. Hindi is taught as a second language from grade 1st. Students can choose between Sanskrit and French from grade 5th.

Streams offered at 10+2 level include commerce, medical, non-medical and humanities.

The iCarnegie lab, language labs, science labs and math lab help students learn through exploration.

Extracurricular activities

Students participate in various co-curricular activities such as music, art and craft, dance, yoga and meditation. Sports facilities include gymnastics, badminton, volleyball, skating, table tennis, chess, kickboxing, billiards, cricket, martial arts, aerobics and golf. A range of club activities like math, language, music, dramatics, pottery, cookery and photography clubs provide skill development avenues.

National level coaches provide coaching in a variety of sports.
