K.R. MANGALAM World School, Greater Kailash II, New Delhi

The K.R. Mangalam World School, situated in Greater Kailash 2, is a branch of the KRM World School that was established in the year 2003. Mr Yash Dev Gupta is the current Chairperson of the group that manages the schools.

The school aims to provide novel, exquisite, and well-designed learning facilities for students. The salient features of the school include a triple storey main building which is centrally air-conditioned. The school has top-notch infrastructural facilities that are maintained with the support and commitment of the management. The building has plenty of spacious and well-lit classrooms, activity halls, two gigantic libraries which are home to a plethora of books on a wide range of subjects and topics by various regional and international authors. For the young toddlers, the school has separate nurseries to shape their childhood into a wonderland of innovation, learning and exploration.

The school takes the academic lives of students very seriously. Right from Pre-school, they start grooming their students so that they can have a solid foundation and their basics are clear and well-developed. The quest for quality education is of paramount significance. The zeal for attaining quality education can be easily measured by looking at the academic department's work. The students are taught with a lot of love, perseverance and patience.

There are smart classes, science labs for PCB subjects, computer labs ( separate for primary and secondary wings) to help with the practical aspect of the topics. The school also houses a Robotics lab, so that the students can get interested in the dynamic and limitless world of Science and Technology. The school follows a house system, where each house is headed by two captains ( a girl and a boy). A housemistress is also allotted for each house. Points are awarded to house based on competitions (singing, dancing, debates etc.), display boards, maintenance of discipline, news, thoughts etc. There are four houses, all of them compete with each throughout the year to get the title of 'Best House'. The names of the houses are topaz, sapphire, ruby and emerald.

The school has a canteen which provides a range of edible food which is prepared, stored and served in hygienic conditions. A facility with a nurse for medical emergencies is also present inside the school premises. The school also provides excellent transport facilities.

The admission procedure for the Pre-School (Nursery), follows a point-based system (Max Points=100):

• Girl child/1st child- 10 points.
• Distance from the school- up to 10 Km- 65, 10-12 Km- 40, Beyond 12 Km- 30.
• Sibling of the School- 25 points.

The first 45 students to get 75+ points are selected directly, then the rest can take part in a lottery system.

For senior classes, the admission is based on the marks obtained in the Previous class. For Class 11th students, the marks obtained in Class 10th Board Exams are considered.
