Hutchings High School, Pune

Hutchings High School, established in the year 1879 under the name 'Taylor High School', is an aided under the society, 'The Women's Foreign Missionary Society' (WFMS). Mrs Emily Hutchings founded this prestigious institution. When Bishop John A Subhan was the chairman and Miss Calkins was appointed the principal in the year 1946, the institution's name was changed to 'Hutchings High School' in honour of Mrs Emily Hutchings for her selfless contribution.  

The students are grouped into four houses that emulates four great personalities - 

• Wesley House carries the motto 'My Utmost For The Highest.'
• Livingstone House has its motto 'Fight The Good Fight.'
• Thoburn House honours its motto 'Perseverance.'
• Robinson House, whose motto is 'Truth And Duty'.

In the year 1960, Mrs D Samuel was appointed as the first Indian principal by the chairman, Bishop Mongal Singh. The school has crossed many milestones over 141 years in the field of sports, arts and academics. Students of this institution have won various accolades in these fields.

Hutchings High School is an English Medium co-educational senior secondary school. The school has an affiliation to the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) board. It prepares its students for the ICSE Class 10 and Class 12 examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). Hutchings School provides the best of infrastructure for its students such as the drama room, dance room, music room, indoor as well as outdoor sports fields etc. For the all-round excellence of the student.

• The admission form will be made available from 2nd of November to 19th of November (Pre-Nursery only)
