Gyan Devi Secondary Public School Sec 17 was established on 15 February 1992 by Late Smt. Gyana Devi w/o Late Maj. JNS Yadava. The school is run by the Colonel Education Society which was founded in the year 1983 by Late Lt. Col. Kunwar Jaswant Singh. According to school education is a social vehicle, which must forge ahead and be a source of new ideas. School motto is ‘Glory is wisdom’. The school believes in developing confidence, creativity and character of students, so they are equipped to deal with any situation they come across. The school mission is to nurture each kid, just as a sapling is nurtured it to enable it to grow into a strong and healthy tree.
