Dr Virendra Swarup Educational Foundation (VSEF) was established in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh in the year 1989 in the memory of Late Dr Virendra Swarup, MLC & Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and a distinguished educationalist. The contribution of Dr Swarup in the field of education is evident from the fact that he established a chain of 25 educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre, Shyam Nagar established in the year 1999 is an English medium co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school imparts education to all children irrespective of caste, creed, and religion without any discrimination.
