D.A.V. Public School, Aundh, Sonitpur

The DAV Public School (Pune branch) is situated in the heart of Aundh. Established in the year 2003 the school is a senior secondary school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is one of the top 3 CBSE schools in the northern part of Pune.

The school campus essentially has two buildings. The older building is more prominent in size. A playground and a basketball court separate the two buildings. The junior classes are held in the old building, i.e. up to Class 5th, while the newer building houses the senior wing (Class 6th to 12th). The older school building has a medical room, a computer lab, a well-stocked library with a large number of books, a biology lab and a media centre with WiFi facility. The newer building has a spacious and well-equipped IP laboratory, a physics lab, a chemistry lab, a music lab and a geology lab.

The school curriculum is carefully designed, keeping in view the tender minds of the young students. The faculty is top-notch. The school management has experimented for several years with creating a perfect amalgam of technology and a teacher's human touch. The school has a house system; each student is allotted into one of the four houses. Their names are Red (Ruby), Green (Emerald), Blue (Sapphire) and Yellow (Topaz). All of them compete in various Extracurricular activities like singing, dancing, elocution, art and craft etc. Also in various sports events like Athletics, cricket, football, basketball etc. The school has hired specialised coaches for multiple sports.
