Darbari Lal DAV (DLDAV) Model School is located at Pitampura in New Delhi. It is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of pedagogy (CBSE), New Delhi. Established in 1981, DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, is a part of the evolutionary DAV Movement. The DAV College Managing Committee manages it.

The school stone was laid within Late Shri Ved Vyasja, chairman, DAVCMC, Late Shri Darbari Lal, is the founder manager of the college, and S L Makhija, the founder principal. The school started with 500 students and 15 teachers; today, it boasts its 4-acre campus with 250 faculty members and 5000 students. The school is also a member of the National Progressive Schools Conference and is an ISO 9001 2000 certified organization.

Campus

The school campus sprawls over 4 acres hosting an administrative block, a room, a spacious, well-equipped air-conditioned auditorium, an AV room, a schoolroom, and a resource room with an internet facility, smart classrooms, and separate senior and junior libraries. The college has two labs for physics, chemistry, biology, a junior lab, four computer labs, a home research lab, a math lab, a geography lab, two multimedia labs, a robotics lab, and an electronics lab.

There is also has a fine arts room, textile designing room, dance room, music room, counsellor’s room, medical infirmary, and a canteen. The school is also has a nursery with a variety of plants. The school playground that measures 1.98 acres, and therefore the sports infrastructure includes a gymnasium and facilities for yoga, karate, Ping-Pong, badminton, athletics, and tennis.

Extracurricular: Students can select from clubs assigned to different classes; life-skill classes are imparted. For levels 2 and 3, the extracurricular subjects include art and craft, music, dance, wealth from waste, needlework, and aerobics. Classes IV and VI have tennis, robotics, West Germanic language, math club, personality development, art and craft, music, calligraphy, songs, literary club, kathak, Hindi dramatics, creative dance, English dramatics, fabric painting, clay modelling, and block printing.

In classes 8 - 10, students can go for the German club, robotics, electronics, court game, cook and serve, folk dance, group dance, English literary club, textile designing, fine art, art, traditional art, computer club, fashion designing, waste management, sports club, eco-club, and Hindi literary club.

The school offers admissions for nursery between January 1 to 15 every year.

Registration forms can be downloaded and submitted on the school website till 4 pm on January 15.

The child should be 3 years old as of April 1 of the academic year for Nursery admission.

A printed copy of the online submitted form, along with a DD of Rs. 350/-(nonrefundable) is drawn in favour of the School.

Please attached a copy of the Date of Birth certificate of the child issued by MCD that should be dropped in the box installed in the security room at the school entrance gate.

A list of selected candidates will be displayed on the school website in January last week and the second waiting list (if any) by February first week.
