Boarding at BISK

Boarding House is just like a second home for a child, where he feels comfortable and spends most of his time. This school has four huge Boarding Houses. Three are for boys, namely Marwar Bhawan, Shekhawati Bhawan, and Mewar Bhawan. The fourth Boarding House, namely Hadoti Bhawan, is for girl students. All the boarding houses have similar infrastructure and facilities. The Boarding Houses are fully air-conditioned. Each of the boarding houses comprises of 16 furnished rooms with attached washrooms per floor, each accommodating four students in each room. 

The hostels house 68 students on each floor, cared for by the  Hostel Superintendent/MatronsHousemaster, Assistant House Master, and Hostel Attendants. Dean (Pastoral Care). The House Master maintains the academic, medical and personal progress records of the children. Hostel Superintendent takes care of the needs of the students. Each Boarding House floor block also has a large common room where the students enjoy their hours of leisure and spend their free time. Apart from the daily routine, children find time to do the following activities in the Boarding House such as watch Tv, play indoor games, wand access to the Internet for Projects, etc.

Admission is open to Classes V to IX and XI. We offer all the three stream viz, Science, Commerce and Humanities in classes XI and XII. However, no direct admission is allowed to classes X and XII.

For admission in Class V to IX and XI, a child is required to be first registered. Thereafter, an aptitude test followed by interaction is conducted on the date intimated by the admission department of the school.

The duration of the entrance test is of 1 to 2 hours. Syllabus for the aptitude test is usually based on the previous class as per CBSE curriculum. For class XI, the test will be based on class X syllabus as per CBSE curriculum.  The age of a child for a particular class will be checked in the school by the admission committee with the help of the birth certificate and the previous School Leaving Certificate. The fee of selected students is to be paid within 10 days from the date of confirmation of admission. The decision of the Principal regarding the admission of a child is final and binding for all.
