The Army Public School (APS), Kirkee, Pune situated in the blissful surrounding of HQ BEG & Centre. It is a Co-Educational, Senior-Secondary School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Just like any other branch of APS, the primary objective of APS, Kirkee is to impart all-round education to the children of Army personnel with guaranteed admission at any place of posting. The motto of Army Welfare Education Society (the governing body responsible for managing the facilities related to the education of children of Indian Army personnel via Local Military Authorities) is 'Quality Education at affordable cost'. Apart from the children of on-duty Army personnel, the school also takes in children of Ex-Servicemen, Defence civilians and Civilians.

The school has a multi-disciplinary curriculum, responsible for not only making the students academically proficient but also prepares them for responsible participation in civic life. For Class 11th and 12th students, there are 4 streams (English is compulsory)- PCB (Mathematics can be chosen as an optional subject), PCM (Biology can be the optional subject), Commerce ( with or without Mathematics) and Humanities (Students can opt for Hindi, Physical Education or IT as an optional). The school has various subject labs set up for practicals. It is also one of the few schools in India that have secured an allowance to set up an innovation lab under the esteemed Atal Tinkering Laboratories.

The school gives a lot of importance to extra-curricular activities. Several cultural events are held throughout the year, in which students get a chance to showcase their talent in music, dance, comprehension, art and craft etc. There are also various clubs which students can join. The school has hired specialized coaches for various sports like Cricket, Hockey, Basketball etc. Various sports facilities are also present on the school campus.
