Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School, Pune was started in June 1932. It is run by the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society and has completed 85 years of dedicated services. Founded by Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj in 1917, the school aims to include in the student military-oriented virtues via, discipline, courage, patience, sense of devotion, and service to Nation.

• The admission process is rational, non-discriminatory and transparent.
• The admission process is open for class 1st and 5th for the academic year. 
• Admission to the class from 2nd to 11th will depend on the vacancies in the respective grade.
• Parents are requested to visit the school with prior appointment. 
• They must collect the prospectus from the school office. Cost: Rs.400.
• Next step is to complete the school office's registration process with the required non-refundable fee of Rs.500. 
• The selected students are invited to the school for the interactive session. 
• Their parents must accompany these students. The student is encouraged to communicate freely to judge his physical ability, mental ability, necessary comprehension and communication skills. 
• There will be no written test.
• The parents of the selected students must pay the fees within 15 days to confirm the admission. 
• It is necessary to appoint a local guardian (in Pune or Mumbai) in overseas students.
• They are taking charge of the boy during the holiday in long sickness or an emergency.
