Inspired by the ancient system of education, in May 1948, the visionary HH Shastriji Maharaj Shree Dharmjivandasji Swami set the foundation of the first Gurukul in Rajkot. This institution has now become an educational centre of repute in India. 

The SGVP is located in the outskirts of Ahmedabad on a 52-acre campus. The school also offers all modern facilities and excellent education. The school follows the curriculum as prescribed by the CISCE for classes 1st to 12th. The curriculum is quite comprehensive and not confined to the textbooks. Indian mindset still runs on three streams, i.e. science, commerce and humanities, therefore subjects have been grouped to follow these subjects under one stream.

It allows enough room to address once needs and to create a learner-centred classroom. As per the Indian Union Government's guidelines, the students are made environment conscious by making environmental education compulsory.

• Admission form is available at the school office with a payment of Rs. 1000/- as registration fee. 
• The parent can also download the form from the link mentioned on the school website, and fees could be paid during submission.
• For admission in Junio KG, the student must be three years and six months of age by 30th May, and accordingly, for the following grades.
• After the submission of the form, a formal interaction of the child and parents will be on the same day. 
• A written exam will be conducted for admissions in class 5th onward if required. Interaction with the parents, before the admission, is essential. 

For admission in the hostel:

• Hostel facilities are available from grade 6 onwards(optional) 
• A letter of recommendation is necessary from a person of reputation or an SGVP parent. 
• Personal interaction will be held with the student and parents for admission consideration in the hostel. 
• Pocket Money account is upheld for every child in the hostel.

NRI admissions:

• NRI parents are requested to contact the school office after the submission of the scanned copies of admission form and documents through email for further process. 
• Their interaction with the principal and the hostel authorities will be conducted through Skype at the mutually agreed date and time.

Documents required once admission is confirmed:

• School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate from the previous school (original)
• Final Academic Report of the last academic year (photocopy)
• Migration Certificate (for class 11th Original)
• Certificate of SC/ST/OBC (if applicable)
• A copy of the study visa is required to study in India / Passport - For NRI students
