J.B. Petit High School for Girls, located in Mumbai, was established in the year 1860 and has a mission to empower girl children through education and opportunity. The school has 1000 students from class I to X and teaching staff strength of 65. Earlier, it was known as Miss Prescott’s Fort Christian School. Subsequently, in 1878, it was renamed the Frere Fletcher School until 1915, when Jehangir Bomanji Petit, a well-known philanthropist, acquired the school administration. Since then, the Petit family has been actively involved in its administration and has been looking after this school.
