Description

The present principal of Don Bosco School is Father Bikash Mondol, and the entire school runs under him. Don Bosco School is complete Christian School for Catholic boys. It is a boy's boarding school. 

Don Bosco School is an English medium Anglo Indian school for Catholic boys. Also, non-catholic students can take admission in this school, that means it is open for all religions. Don Bosco School is managed and established by Salesians of Don Bosco. The institution wants to make its students independent and confident, and the primary function of this school is discipline and punctuality. Students from Don Bosco School went to different schools for a student exchange programme and students of a separate school visit the school to inspect and to learn and to interact with the students and the school staff and to learn about the school. Students from the UK have visited Don Bosco School as a student exchange programme every year. Students of Don Bosco School visit Germany for an intercultural language program since 2010. 

At the time of Rabindranath Tagore's Birthday, Don Bosco School organises several interaction events in Kolkata and the most important event that took place during this time is BOSCO FEST. This fest began with just two events which are Bosco beat (inter-school band event) and a jubilee quiz (inter-school quiz competition). Bosco Fest also has its website and app. Apart from this event, many several events took place throughout the year like Bosco MUN (Model United Nations), Bosco polemic and Bosco Bit.

  • During the time of admission, Christians are given preference.
  • At the time of admission, parent/ guardian are requested to fill the admission form with great accuracy. 
  • After filling of the form, the form should be submitted to the admission staff.
  • If the candidate is selected, then the name of the candidates are put up on the notice board.
  • In rare cases, the entrance test is taken from the students.
  • Admission can be made based on interview and previous class report card.
  • Catholic students are required to submit their baptism certificate at the time of admission. 
  • The candidate's interview is conducted along with the parents.
  • Conduct record of a student plays a major role in the admission of class 10.
  • Documents required at the time of admission are the original hospital discharge certificate, baptism certificate, letter from the parish priest, identity proof, transfer certificate, copy of a birth certificate, migration certificate and passport size photographs.
