The Vivekanand School was founded in 1978. It is a Senior-Secondary School, affiliated to the CBSE. Since its inception, the school has proved to be one of the Premier-English medium schools in the country. It has two branches, the first one is in Anand Vihar and the second one is situated in Preet Vihar. The school campus is spread across an area of approximately 4 acres. The school follows the ideologies of its namesake, the Great Saint Swami Vivekanand, and hence, tries to emulate his vision and policies. It teaches it's students not only about academics but also tries to inculcate good habits in them.

Swami Vivekanand once said, "A nation is advanced in proportion to education and intelligence spread among the masses." The school management firmly believes in this quote and has built a multidisciplinary curriculum, according to the needs of its students. It has also consistently churned out top-notch teachers, who not only teach the students but also try to build scientific curiosity among them. With the advancement in technology, the school has invested a significant amount of capital on Smart classes, Science labs, Computer labs etc. to ensure that a child can understand the theoretical as well as practical aspects of a subject. 

The school believes that extracurricular activities and sports are as important as academics for the holistic development of a child. It has various clubs like- Parivartan Club, Aawaaz Club, TECHNOCRATZ Club etc. S.U.P.W. is also an integral part of the ECA, and it has different levels for different classes. It is also one of the few schools in Delhi to have Model UN (an event where students dress as young parliamentarians and display their prowess in oration and analysis). For sports, some specialized coaches are present during school hours. The school houses a football field, a cricket ground and a basketball court.

Note: Maximum Points= 100

For admission in classes 1st to 9th, the marks of the previous class are considered. For admissions in Class 11th, the marks obtained in the Class 10th Board exams are considered.
