The Future Kid's School, Hyderabad

The Future Kid's School, Hyderabad was established in 1997 by Shailaja Rao. The school has an affiliation to the Indian School Certificate (ISC) board. The school had a very humble beginning with only 20 students and only six teaching/non-teaching staff. Over the years, it has flourished a lot and now houses over 560 students with 65 teachers and 55 non-teaching staff (as of 2005). The school campus is spread around a sprawling area of 3 acres.

The curriculum of the school is multi-disciplinary. For the junior wing and pre-primary wing, the school doesn't follow any particular board, and from class 6th onwards, the school starts teaching its students according to the CISCE curriculum. The senior wing students are also given specialized coaching for the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) etc.

Academics are an essential aspect of this curriculum. The teaching faculty is competent and well-experienced. The traditional classrooms have been transformed into digital classrooms with cutting edge technology. For imparting practical knowledge to its students, the school has dedicated subject laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computers etc. The school also houses a spacious and well-stocked library having thousands of books, periodicals, magazines etc. Apart from academics, the curriculum also focusses on the personality development of a child and aims to teach in a child- communication skills and leadership qualities.

The school management actively encourages the pupils to participate in extra-curricular activities. Various cultural events are organized throughout the academic year in which the students get a chance to showcase their talent in the field of singing, dancing, elocution, debates etc. There are also facilities for learning western music and some musical instruments.

Sport is a critical part of the school's curriculum. The school management has hired specialized coaches for various sports, who ensure that the students can play with the correct technique. There is a cricket pitch, a football court, basketball courts etc. There are also facilities for golf, karate, yachting etc.

The school has a spacious canteen, in which hygienic and fresh food is served. A medical facility is also present on the school campus, in which a nurse is present at all times during school hours.
