Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School is situated in Amritsar came into existence by the Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society in 1967. The school was founded in the name of Sri Guru Harkrishan Ji, the 8th Guru of the Sikhs. The school has achieved many milestones during 48 years and has become the forerunner of the chain of such schools. This school also holds another achievement, i.e., it was the first school in this region to have an affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.

The primary objective of the school is mainly based upon the development of students as rational thinkers with a socially well-adjusted frame of mind and advanced scientific ways of learning. The main focus and aim of the school are at providing students with an exciting educational experience and helping them acquire the highest standard of lifeskills.

• The admission is based on depends on the number of seats available and merit.
• Students from other schools will be admitted if they come from an institution affiliated with the recognised boards. All students must write an admission test to qualify for admission.
