Late Pt. Girdhari Lal Salwan established Salwan Public School in the year 1996 under Salwan Education Trust. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi. SPS nurtures responsible global citizens who are sensitive to the other cultures while encouraging them to respect their environment, to develop a social conscience and give something back to society. 

The motto "Service Before Self" symbolizes the ability to face challenges and to render selfless service to humanity, for joy lies in giving and sharing rather than receiving. The logo of the school, "The Rising Sun" symbolizes the emergence of the light of knowledge, dispelling the darkness of ignorance.

Children seeking for admission are needed to fill in the application form available on school website and submit the same with school office along with required documents.  After verification of documents, final list will be uploaded on the school website and  parents for provisional admissions will be informed through SMS. School management holds the right to grant admission based on the data provided.
