Kundan Vidya Mandir was established in the year 1941, run by Shri Kundan Lal Trust and is named after its founder Late Sh. Rai Sahib Kundan Lal Ji. It is a senior secondary school, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. With English being its medium of instruction, the school offers education from KG through 12th standard with over 5000 students and 250 staff members. It is a pride for Kundan Vidya Mandir to be the first school in Punjab to get affiliated with CBSE in the year 1963. 

The school campus is spread over 7 acres. It hosts 112 spacious classrooms, a library which is well stocked with latest releases of books, well-equipped laboratories for subjects like physics, chemistry and biology, an auditorium, a conference hall, music room and dance room, activity room, art room, computer lab, language lab, math lab, an infirmary and a canteen. The school also provides facilities for sports which include football ground, volleyball court, shooting range, splash pools, skating ring and many others.

Age criteria for LKG students are 3 years and 3 months as on March 31st in the joining year. Submission of the original birth certificate of the child is mandatory at the time of registration.

Admission for other and higher classes will be based on the performance of the applicant in the previous academic years.
