J.H. Tarapore School , East Singhbhum

JH Tarapore School situated at Jamshedpur is a co-ed day school. Established in 2002, the school has an affiliation with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). JH Tarapore school is named after Late JH Tarapore, the founder of Tarapore and Company. JH Tarapore School is located in the heart of the town Dhatkidih at Jamshedpur.

The school's sprawling campus with a magnificent view of the lake comprises of a well-stocked library, an enormous reading room, and well-equipped labs for biology, chemistry, physics, geography and mathematics. Other facilities include a unique learning experience for the students, such as a multipurpose hall, an infirmary, a sports room for indoor games like chess, table tennis, pool, etc. As well as there is a playground for outdoor games like football, basketball, cricket, athletics and yoga.

The school follows an integrated methodology, which includes project-based as well as activity-based learning. It aims at developing academically as well as non-academically excellent and smart individuals who can effectively apply concepts and develop an ability to communicate fluently in English. The school also provides special attention to students who lag and allows them to excel in their interested fields. 

When the school started as a co-ed institute in 2002, a survey concluded that admission of boys was given much preference over girls. Therefore, the school's management decided to convert it to an all-girls school in 2004. However, gradually, both sexes were given equal opportunity and attention. Additionally, an all-girls school named Tarapore Balika Vidyalaya (TBV) was established in 2002 to provide free education to girl child belonging to the lower economic background. TBV is a Hindi medium school where the classes are held in the afternoon. 

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE

• Admission is subject to vacancies. Registration form should be filled and submitted at the administration office. However, successful registration does not guarantee access.
• Admissions are granted based on the performance.
• The admission committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application for the admission without providing any notice/reason.
• To confirm the applicant's admission, a printed copy of the registration form, as well as receipt of the fee paid, should be produced at the office. 

ADMISSION PROCEDURE for L.K.G.

• There shall be no interview or any form of assessment held for either the parents or the child.
• Admission is granted only based on Random Selection.
• 25% of seats are reserved for children belonging to the Below Poverty Line category.
• Please contact the D.S.E. office for the Registration Form.
• Birth Certificate of the applicant issued only by the Govt. certified authorities will be accepted.
• Birth Certificate should be in English or Hindi.
• Affidavits, in the form of the birth certificate, will be rejected.
• The original Birth certificate must be carried while submitting the photocopies of documents as well as registration for verification. The original copy shall be returned on the same day.  

Note: Please apply only if your child's date of birth is between 16th September 2015 and 15th September 2016.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR CLASS 11

• Students will be granted provisional admission solely based on the Board results of class 10.
• Applicants from background except for CISCE will be granted admission on a provisional basis. The admission is subjected to be withdrawn, should the Admissions Committee reject the applicant's documents submitted for approval.
• By the end of class 11, if a student fails to show any development, they will have to repeat the year.
• Those who have applied for Science but are not selected are allowed to opt for Arts or Commerce. However, those who opted for Commerce and were not selected can only apply for Arts.
•  Please note: The decision taken by the Principal and the Management is abiding.
• The admissions are generally subject to vacancies. Hence, if there are any vacancies after the display of the first list, a second list shall be published.
• The documents required are the same as the ones needed for admission into L.K.G.

Essential Documents to be presented at the time of registration as well as the admission:

• Applicant's passport-size photograph
• Group photograph with both the parents and the applicant
• Caste certificate, if belonging to ST/SC/OBC.
• Birth certificate
• Residential Proof
