Hiranandani Foundation School, Mumbai

Hiranandani Foundation School (HFS), Thane was founded by Lakhumal Hiranandani, the founder chairman of the varsity, in 1999 and is affiliated to the Council for the Indian college Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. It offers education from nursery to class 12.

Working on its slogan, 'Mens Sanaa In Corpore Sano,' which implies, 'A sound mind in an exceedingly sound body,' the school lays stress on each kid's holistic development. It intends to "nurture students to evoke their overall development through ethics, morals, cultural awareness, shape, tutorial excellence to assist them in becoming outstanding voters of India and therefore the world."

Campus

HFS, Thane hosts state of the art infrastructure with various amenities for games, art, music, and extracurricular activities. It has spacious courts for outdoor sports like basketball, football, and squash as well as a pool for its students. Further, it also provides coaching to those who require it in sports like table tennis, taekwondo, chess, athletics, swimming, soccer, and basketball.

The school boasts five advanced science laboratories: two for physics, two for chemistry, and one for biology, three IT laboratories, smart-boards to facilitate e-learning, two spacious and well-furnished libraries and two halls that host different programs.

Academics

HFS, Thane is related to CISCE and prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian college Certificate (ISC) examinations that is, the 10th and 12th standard board exams. The curriculum at HFS, Thane has been rigorously designed to equip the kid with the essential skills that promote the observation, recognition, reasoning, and physical coordination. At the senior secondary level, students get to choose from Commerce and Science streams.

Extracurricular 

The school lays stress on extracurricular activities like sports, art, music, and drama. Students can get coached to improve their sports skills in sports like table tennis, taekwondo, chess, athletics, swimming, soccer, and basketball.

The admission forms at HFS Thane are issued around January and have to be duly submitted on the date stipulated by the school.

Tests and interviews are mandatory for each student seeking admission, which is granted based on the tests and interviews.

For the pre-primary section, candidates need to adhere to the government's age specifications and other directives.
