Its innovative education began in 1994 to commemorate the memory of the late Smt. Gayatri Hindu deity Goenka, mother of the Chairman, Mr A. K. Goenka. Starting with barely 23 students in its initial year at the primary college, the GD Goenka Public college in Vasant Kunj, these days fosters associate in nursing enriched instructional life for over 2500 students. It had inaugurated by the primary Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Hon'ble Shri Nityanand Hindu Islamic Group on 19 February 2001.
