Dr Virendra Swarup Educational Foundation (VSEF) was established in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh in the year 1989 in the memory of Late Dr Virendra Swarup, MLC & Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and a distinguished educationalist. The contribution of Dr Swarup in the field of education is evident from the fact that he established a chain of 25 educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre, Shyam Nagar established in the year 1999 is an English medium co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school imparts education to all children irrespective of caste, creed, and religion without any discrimination. The mission of the school is to inculcate great values from Indian culture and our rich heritage and adopt the best from other countries to provide holistic development.
