The Bhavan's Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir, Nagpur was established in 1982 by Kulapati Dr K.M. Munshi. It is an English-medium, co-educational, senior secondary school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Currently, the school houses over 3000 students along with a competent and well-experienced faculty of over 130 teachers.

The primary mission of the school is to churn out academically brilliant students who are also good samaritans. The school aims to nurture the students to become confident, proficient and global citizens. The school also tries to inculcate in students- strong moral values, gender equality, undying love towards their roots and culture etc.

The school has developed a multi-faceted academic curriculum to ensure that there is no excess burden on the students. There are around 70 classrooms in the school. The faculty is instrumental in their teaching methods. During this CoVid-19 pandemic, where students are facing a lot of issues in their academic lives, the school is conducting online classes to relieve them. Various Cultural events and PTA meetings are also being held online. The school has subject laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics etc. A well-stocked library with a wide array of books is also present on the school campus.

The school actively encourages its students to take part in extracurricular activities. Various competitions of singing, dancing, elocution, symposiums/debates are held throughout the year in which the students compete. For sports, there is a cricket pitch, a football field, several basketball courts etc. The school has also hired specialized coaches for various sports. These coaches ensure that students can improve their technique so that they can not only become better at the sport but also to avoid injuries.

The school has a well-equipped medical facility, in which a nurse is present at all times during school hours. The canteen serves hygienic and fresh food at affordable costs. The security of students is of utmost concern to the school management. Hence, there are CCTV cameras and security guards.
