Apeejay School, Mumbai

Apeejay School, situated in Kharghar at Navi Mumbai, was established in 1972. It is a co-ed day school and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Apeejay school started with a Pre-Primary section but has now attained the Senior Secondary status. It hosts over 2000 children along with 100 faculty members. The Apeejay Education Society manages and looks over the administration of the school.

The sprawling school campus is spread across almost 20,000 square metres which it acquired from CIDCO in 1998. Moreover, the school building covers 13000 square metres while there is an area of 7000 square metres allocated for the playground and other outdoor activities. The facilities present in the school include:

• Multiple well-equipped laboratories for subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology. They are equipped with instruments, different working stations, chemicals and models to cater to the needs of the senior secondary students. Additionally, the school also hosts a general science laboratory which is primarily utilised by middle school students.
• The audio-visual (AV) room consists of computers and an overhead projector. Space can also be converted to classrooms to counter accommodation while the process of expanding school.
• Art & Crafts room is also present, along with other performing arts activities. Each grade has a music and dance period except for classes 9-12.
• The expansive playground hosts game like football and handball held at the intraschool as well as the interschool competitive levels.

Apeejay School encourages its students to participate and excel in various dimensions of academics as well as beyond academics. It follows the motto - "Soaring High is in my Nature." Apeejay has been recognised as the 7th best schools of Navi Mumbai through a survey conducted by the Hindustan Times. It is also one of the 28 schools set up by Apeejay Education School around the country.

Admission to these courses is usually in May and June.

• The original birth certificate must also be presented at the time of admission.
