The Mount Camel School (MCS), Dwarka is a branch of the MCS, New Delhi. It was established in 1998, on the Silver Jubliee (25 years) of the parent-school, with a little over 160 students. Currently, the school has approximately 3500 students and a staff of over 150. The school has classes starting from Nursery to Class 12th, recognized by the Delhi Administration and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The pre-school is situated close to the senior school and had an inauguration in April 2004. The school has also been awarded the prestigious International School Award (2016-19) conferred by the British Council.
The school puts a lot of emphasis on academics and follows the syllabus of the All India Secondary and Senior Secondary Examination (AISCE) of the CBSE. English is the medium of instruction at MCS. Hindi is taught as the second language. Till 8th Class, Spanish, French and Sanskrit are offered as third languages. The students who are promoted to Classes 9th have the option to choose between Hindi, Sanskrit and French as their second language (this choice is carry forwarded to Class 10th as well). The school has a stationary shop where the approved textbooks, notebooks and reference books are sold.
The infrastructure of the school is quite impressive. It has well-lit and ventilated classrooms. Smart classes, Science labs, a vast auditorium, a library with a wide variety of books on various subjects are some of the highlighted features. The school also has an excellent transportation system.
Every student who gets admission in the school is assigned a 'House'. The school has eight houses, and all the houses are named after one of the Scriptural fruits of the Spirit: Prem, Satya, Shanti, Anand, Dhiraj, Kripa, Nishtha and Namrata. The school encourage teamwork and sporting spirit, inter-house activities are conducted in sports, dramatics, music, arts, science, mathematics, G.K. etc. All the houses compete in these activities, and the house which gets the maximum cumulative points receives the title of 'Best House'.
