St. Patrick's Junior College , Agra

St. Patrick College, Agra is one of the best girl’s schools in the city, affiliated to ICSE board, established in 1842. This institution was established by Jesus and Mary society. It is the oldest school in the town and offers schooling from pre-primary to senior secondary level. Being a Christian minority institution, it aims to strive for their cultural and religious practices in catholic children and keep their culture alive in the younger generation.

The school is the stepping stone in the journey of womanhood for the school. The campus has a boasting infrastructure which includes well-equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology, a library for academic support, an auditorium for organising functions, music room, dance room for cultural activities and a sports complex. The school offers subjects like English literature, language, EVS, Sanskrit, maths, science, physics chemistry singing,  SUPW and community service. In the senior secondary level, a choice of 2 streams is given that is from science and commerce.

SUPW and community service are a compulsory subject at the senior secondary level. This is there to evoke the feeling of communal harmony, patriotism and serving the society is imbibed in the students from an early stage. St Patrick College has known for character formation and academic skills as well as the development of the interesting areas. The school strives to work on the preaching of Jesus Christ, and the school is to preserve the catholic faith. The religious classes are also organised for the catholic. 

Several functions are organised by the school such as teacher’s day, Independence Day, Founder’s Day, annual day functions, republic day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students are encouraged to participate in them for fun and frolic. Co-curricular activities include cultural, literary, art and craft, and the school also organises activities such as debates, picnics excursions and educational trips. 

Preference in admission is given to Catholic children. Admission is, however, open to children of other communities without distinction of caste or creed.  The application for admission to all the classes should be made to the Principal of the College.

Students applying for admission to Class 1 - 11 are, as a rule, are a subject to a competitive test. They will be tested in the standard below the one to why they seek admission. A candidate joining School for the first time must produce a Birth Certificate or a Baptism Certificate (in original) in support of the Date of Birth. Inspector of Schools of that State must countersign the Transfer Certificate of candidates coming from States other than U.P.
