Mount Carmel College, Lucknow

Carmel School has come into existance on 10th January in the year 1958 and eventually got to be known as Mount Carmel School. In the initial days of its establishment, it provided education only to kindergarten and class I, which gradually expanded over the years and now it offers schooling from kindergarten through standard XII with English as its medium of instruction.

The school is under the religious jurisdiction of the Catholic Bishop of Lucknow and is being administrated by the Carmel Sadan Society of UP in the Roman Catholic Church. The school aims at the education of the Catholic community and extends its service to the members of the other community to the extent possible. The school strives for academic excellence, development of skills, character formation based on the love of god and the service of man as modeled in Jesus Christ, with a view of training citizens for overall development and sincere commitment to the God and the nation.

The mission and vision of Mount Carmel College is to provide academic opportunities that will enable the students to excel at the national and international level; to promote national integration and to create awareness to lead for the environmental protection. The school offers infrastructure for sports and other extra cirricular activities which help the child in overall personality development. Mount Carmel School tries to make education affordable to the weaker sections of the society and develop leadership qualities from early stages by offering activities like the school cabinet, NSS/NCC, girl guides and other co-cirricular activities.
