Methodist High School , Kanpur

Methodist High School, was established in Kanpur, India in 1874 by the American Missionary Educationist Isabella Thoburn. It has a large, tree-abundant compound, with four buildings: Elementary school, Primary School and Senior School. A Methodist Church is within the boundaries of the school. It is one of the best schools in Kanpur.

The name of this school was changed from the “Boys’ High School” to the “Methodist High School” in the year 1952.

The institution has an affiliation to the ICSE, ISC and Cambridge board. The school offers an ICSE curriculum from class 6th to 10th.

Quisqualis is the school magazine, named after a flowering creeper that covers the walls of the Senior School.

The dispensary is at the right-wing of the senior block. The goal of the school nurse is to promote a healthy environment for the school and students.

Computer Labs

The Methodist High School also has a computer department to support the educational needs of the school and to enhance the curriculum.

Today, the school has three fully furnished, air-conditioned computer labs equipped with all the latest equipment. The senior lab has 40 latest computer systems with four printers. The junior and the Primary labs have 20 computers each with LCD Projectors.

• Preference is given to Children of the Defense services Personnel, Christian, Govt. Official Transfer cases, Single Parent etc.
• No new admissions in Classes 10 and 12.
• There is no written test for admission in PG and Nursery.
