The Heritage:
The foundation of the varsity, laid in 1994, is embedded in an exceedingly great historical tradition. It's been named after the eminent luminary Mahatma Hansraj, 
the first Headmaster of D.A.V. School at Lahore.  His vision is that the philosophy of an establishment which imparts value-based quality education and incorporates the fashionable education without losing the sight of rich cultural heritage. It's been our endeavour to supply a befitting sojourn - to require education from mere literacy to knowledge, for whatever we learn includes a purpose and whatever we do affects everything and everybody else, for the mightiest world and therefore the righteous path.
 
 
The Values:
Performing Havan is an integral part of the college routine.  The chanting of the hymns followed by a discourse by “Shastri Ji” inculcates within the children a respect for his or her culture and moral values.  “Your highest value isn't ‘God” but yourself, you're your own highest value “The highest possible stage in moral culture is after we recognize that we must control our thoughts.
 
The Motto:
“Through knowledge, one attains immortality”. In keeping with the Vedas, without the knowledge and learning, one cannot attain immortality. Therefore, one should always attempt to acquire knowledge and what better thanks to trying this than by imbibing it from your teacher or Guru.
 
The Team:
Together with her team of coordinators and teachers, she strives to attain this aim.  The teachers, except being qualified and experienced, enjoy the method of teaching and interacting with students.

India is the melting pot of diverse cultures and religions, which enrich its cultural heritage. This help in sensitizing them to the feelings of various communities which creates cultural harmony within the society.
