DPS Varanasi School is an educational institution located in the city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India and is spread across the area of 8 acres. The Institution was established in 2003 and started its first academic session on 7 April 2003.

It is a co-educational day institution with an affiliation to CBSE board. DPS Varanasi comes as the 17th branch of all the DPS schools open in India and abroad.

The Former Chairman of the DPS Society Mr Narendra Kumar flagged the Varanasi Branch in 2002. Mr S. Sharma was the first principal of this school. Before this, he served as a teacher in DPS R.K. Puram. The motto of this school is “Service Before Self” and enrols children from Nursery to Class 12th. It is one of the best schools in Varanasi.

Nursery and Prep

The school will grant admission to classes nursery and prep will be given based on interaction. The presence of both the parents during the period is compulsory.

Classes 1 to 9- written test and interaction

Class I onwards, the school will conduct a formal written test in languages: English & Hindi including maths. This is done to check the linguistic proficiency and mathematical ability of the child for assessing whether they are suitable for admission to the next class.

The age of the candidate as on march 31, 2020, will determine the admission to a particular class.
