St. Edward's School, Shimla

St. Edward School, Shimla is an All-Boys day school. Established on 9 March 1925, Shimla Chandigarh Educational Society manages the school under the Bishop of Shimla-Chandigarh Diocese. The Irish Christian Brothers founded it. Its motto is in Latin "lumen sequere." 

meaning "Follow the light."

It is spread across 4 acres of area. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi from 2008 onwards but had an affiliation with ICSE until 2008. It provides excellent facilities for the students, including well-designed classrooms, playgrounds, laboratories, library, and auditorium.

For the holistic development of the students, equal importance is given to co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Scouts, art, craft, music, dance, along with educational tours and excursions are planned and organized for the students. The institution regulates tournaments for different games such as basketball, football, track events, cricket, badminton, table-tennis, and other games.

It also organizes classes in shooting, karate, wushu, gymnastics, and yoga.

The campus has all the modern infrastructural facilities such as the classes have the latest teaching aids like digital classrooms. The medium of instruction is English.

Classes up to 10th have three sections each, and the rest have two sections. They offer science and commerce stream in senior school. The school has different clubs and committees.

• After registration, the exact date and time will be sent to you on your registered mobile number (text message/SMS).
• Both parents (Father and Mother) will visit the school on the mentioned date and time to fill the admission form.

• 2 passport size photographs of the child
• Aadhar card ( of Mother, father, and student- photocopies)
